The Undergraduate Advising Center

The Undergraduate Advising Center provides dynamic advising resources for CUA students. Your college education is made up of various components: classes, study abroad programs, certificates, pre-professional plans, majors, minors, schedules. Advisors can help you make informed choices and arrange the pieces of your education in a compelling way.

Getting Started at CUA

  1. Course Advice
Course registration for the fall semester begins on June 15. Please review the Advising Center's course advice to select the appropriate courses for your major and to see which (if any) placement exams you should take over the summer.
  2. Registration Information
Learn how to use Cardinal Station to search and register for courses.
  3. Participate in Primer Discussion
The Primer is a summer reading of a different sort, short, bite-sized passages that will introduce you to the kind of thinking and learning you will engage in at CUA. Take it in piece-by-piece, and remember that each excerpt is meant to help you think about the big questions you'll explore in your First-Year Experience Learning Community and beyond. We ask that you complete these readings on a Monday-Wednesday-Friday schedule beginning on Wednesday, June 21. In order to help you with the readings, we have asked members of the faculty, staff, and student community to respond to the readings in videos. These will come out on our summer reading website,
