Read In a Sense All Things: A CUA Primer

Although you won’t be here on campus with us this summer, we will be working with you to get ready to start in the fall. Below are some things to think about and some ways to get involved with CUA right now.

Think about the Big Picture

We want your time at CUA to prepare you for a lifetime of truth-seeking. Your education is about more than merely practical job preparation, and your classes are more than slots to be filled. Your advisors will help you to select classes that will enable you not only to develop skills for your future career, but also to pursue your interests and challenge you to examine your views of the world.

Connect with Undergraduate Advisor

Your Undergraduate Advisor will contact you by email in early June and invite you to join his or her Facebook group. During the summer, your advisor will ask you to fill out a questionnaire and schedule a phone appointment to go over your fall course selections. You will meet your Undergraduate Advisor in person once you arrive for Orientation in August

Register for Courses

Registration for fall classes begins June 15, but there are a few things you'll want to do before then. Take a look at our registration advice page for instructions.

If at any point you are confused about the registration process, call or email your Undergraduate Advisor, or email

Read In a Sense All Things: A CUA Primer

Read along with us! Thinking about the readings and discussing them with other students is an exciting first step in preparing you for college and for the First-Year Experience.

The readings begin June 21 and continue regularly until you arrive at campus in August. Each reading has a corresponding video, and you're encouraged to join the discussion about the readings with other students at CUA's Summer Reading Site. (Here's a link to the full summer reading scheudle.)
